Highland recently completed installation of a broadband conduit system on the massive Sciotoville Railroad Bridge. Constructed from 1914-1917, until 1935, it was considered the largest continuous truss span in the United States. Constructing this 6" fiberglass fiber optic conduit system for MOX Networks and Facebook took every tool in the arsenal including; under bridge access trucks, rail trucks, bucket trucks, man lifts and sophisticated rigging equipment to access almost impossible to reach areas over the Ohio River.
✔️Furnish and install approximately 2,800 LF of 6" XHW fiberglass conduit
✔️Mag-Drill steel for mounting conduit supports on deck truss portion of the bridge
✔️Use of sophisticated rigging to install arch span conduit supports
✔️Use of hanging scaffold systems between railroad ties
